Monthly deflation in November was -0,1%

Monthly deflation measured by Consumer price index was -0.1% in November, while the annual inflation was 0.0%, up from -0.5% in October. This was influenced mostly by the decrease in prices of: fruit; fuels and lubricants; hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments; vegetables; shoes and other footwear; accommodation services.

When observing the main groups monthly drop of prices was noticed in the following groups: Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.7%); Restaurants and hotels (-0.6%); Transport (-0.4%); Clothing and footwear (-0.2%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.1%), while a growth of prices was recorded in groups: Health (+1.2%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (+0.2%); Recreation and culture (+0.2%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.1%). Prices in groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels; Communications; Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.

Positive annual inflation rates in November were observed in the following groups: Health (+3.5%); Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.0%); Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+0.8%); Recreation and culture (+0.5%); Clothing and footwear (+0.1%), while negative annual inflation rates were observed in the following groups: Communications (-3.5%); Transport (-2.0%); Furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-1.6%); Miscellaneous goods and services (-0.9%); Restaurants and hotels (-0.6%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (-0.2%).
