This release contains data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the second quarter 2014 and the observation period was from April to June 2014. The surveying was done in 2 049 households on the territory of Montenegro. The survey collected data about demographic characteristics for members of the households (6 358 persons were surveyed), and data about economic activity for persons aged 15 and more (5 285 persons, which makes 1.2% of the total number of interviewed persons aged 15 and more).

According to data for second quarter in the 2014 labor force in Montenegro consist of 268.2 thousands of active population. From that number there were: 218.6 thousand employees and 49.5 thousands unemployed. The number of employees in comparison with the previous quarter has increased 5.3% and the number of unemployed has increased 0.8%. The activity rate for the second quarter 2014 is 53.5%, the employment rate is 43.6% and unemployment rate is 18.5%. Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age groups are: the activity rate is 62.8%, the employment rate is 51.1% and the unemployment rate is 18.6%.
