External trade of Montenegro January-June 2014

The total external trade of Montenegro for period January-June 2014 is EUR 974.7 million, indicating the drop of 6.7% in comparison with the same period of the previous year.

The value of exports of goods is EUR 146.5 million, what is 25.3% less compared to the same period of previous year, and imports are EUR 828.1 million, what is 2.4% less compared to the same period of previous year.

The coverage of import by export is 17.7%, and it is lower compared to the coverage for the same period of previous year, when it was 23.1%.
Structure of exports in accordance with the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) the most present products are Manufactured goods classified chiefly by material – Section 6, in amount of EUR 38.7 million (consisted of: Non-ferrous metals with the amount of EUR 33.6 million, and Iron and steel with EUR 1.9 million).

The structure of imports in accordance with the classification SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) is presented mostly products of Section 0 – Food and live animals with EUR 170.8 million (consisted of: Meat and meat preparations with EUR 46.9 million, and Cereal and cereal products with EUR 24.2 million).

Main trading partners in exports with individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 36.4 million), Republic of Croatia (EUR 28.1 million) and Belarus (EUR 10 million).

Main trading partners in imports with individual basis were: Serbia (EUR 225.6 million), Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 64.4 million), and China (EUR 64.4 million). The highest external trade trend was with CEFTA and EU countries.
