This release contains data received through the Labour Force Survey conducted in the first quarter 2014, and the observation period was from January to March 2014. The surveying was done in 2 022 households on the territory of Montenegro. The survey collected data about demographic characteristics for members of the households (6 356 persons were surveyed) and data about economic activity for persons aged 15 and more (5 320 persons).

According to data for first quarter in the 2014 labor force in Montenegro consist of 256.7 thousands of active population. From that number there were: 207.6 thousands persons in employment and 49.1 thousands unemployed. The activity rate for the first quarter 2014 is 51.2%, the employment rate is 41.4% and unemployment rate is 19.1%. Measures of the activity of the population for 15-64 age group are: the activity rate is 60.0%, the employment rate is 48.5% and the unemployment rate is 19.3%.
