Secondary schools and schools for children with special educational needs beginning of school year 2013/2014

In secondary schools in Montenegro at the beginning of school year 2013/2014 there were 31 258 enrolment of pupils; of those 15 256 are women, i.e. 48.8%.

The number of pupils enrolled in secondary schools decreased for 1.9% compared with the previous school year, while the number of pupils enrolled in the first grade of school is lower for 6.7%.

The highest number of secondary school pupils is in Podgorica, 32%, while there are only 1.5% of the total number of secondary school pupils, in Andrijevica, Savnik, Pluzine, and Zabljak.

Observing the field of study, there are 10 049 pupils or 32.1% in gymnasium; economy, law, and administration 5 159 or 16.5%; trade, hotels, and tourism 4 974 or 15.9%; while other fields of study makes 35.4%.

In resource centres for children with special educational needs, in Montenegro, 173 pupils were enrolled at the begining of school year 2013/2014, 45.1% of them being girls.
